COVID-19

Dear valued clients,

At my studio, health and safety have always been my top priorities, even before the spread of the Coronavirus. As you are aware there is a growing public health risk surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and I’m closely monitoring the situation.

As a professional licensed hairstylist, I’ve always followed strict protocols put forth by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMW).

Here are the specifics I’m following and always have followed to ensure the health of my clients and myself following the reopening of my studio on August 3, 2020.

Self Protocols

  • I wash my hands with antimicrobial soap/hand sanitizer before and after each client.

  • I sanitize my styling combs and scissors with barbicide disinfectant after every client (use).

  • I sanitize my styling chair with Clorox Bleach Wipes or Clorox Bleach Disinfecting Spray.

  • I steam clean my floors.

  • I disinfect the bathroom and hard surfaces located in my studio (that the virus may tend to linger for long periods of time) with

Clorox Bleach Wipes or Clorox Bleach Disinfecting Spray.

  • I Sterilize my needles.

  • I’m swapping my nylon capes for plastic disposable capes.

  • I’m providing gloves and masks (if needed).

  • My temperature will be checked in your presence.

Requested Protocol for clients upon entering my studio

  • A mask must be worn throughout your entire appointment.

  • Your temperature must be checked upon entering my studio. If your temperature is high, I cannot proceed with services.

  • If gloves are not worn upon entering my studio, you must wash your hands before starting services with me.

For clients:

  • Listen to your body. If you’re not feeling well, please stay home and seek medical attention. All cancellation fees will be waived.

  • Please take the normal, health precautions you would generally take during cold and flu season. The CDC recommends frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizers.

  • If you’re experiencing severe anxiety over the situation try taking a break from the media and seek reliable information from only trusted sources such as the CDC or text COVID to 692692, for daily updates on the coronavirus.

Safety is always my number one priority, these steps, along with your personal cautiousness, will help me do my part in keeping the community safe and healthy.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I’m always here for you. Thank You. -Tanika Torrice
